Emergency Center Wait Times
If you have a serious or life threatening emergency, contact 911 immediately. Patients with life-threatening emergencies are always seen immediately in the Emergency Center at Lawrence General Hospital.
"Wait times" at Lawrence General are broken down into several levels based on how severe a patient's pain is. Whether it is no wait due to severe trauma or chest pain, or a variable wait due to a non-life-threatening emergency, the Lawrence General Emergency Center takes your condition extremely seriously.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted within minutes by a nurse, who will speak with you about your condition, and make an assessment about the level of medical treatment you need. That concludes with a judgment about laboratory testing or imaging procedures that might be required to determine a course of treatment for you. In some cases these processes can be started before you are assigned to a bed.
