Bone Densitometry
You are encouraged to call the office for hours of operation during the pandemic. Our team is working very hard to make sure all COVID-19 precautions are taken to protect your health and safety during your visit.
This special imaging procedure measures the strength of bones, something that can diminish in patients prone to osteoporosis. Bone densitometry is a low-dose x-ray that screens for signs of mineral loss and bone thinning. It is a simple, painless test that takes about 20 minutes. Patients simply lie on the examination table with their arms by their sides. Patients should wear comfortable clothes with no metal buttons or zippers.
